2005 Subaru Impreza Key Fob Programming Instructions

This keyless remote programming instructions work for L,U Square in half circle remote with part # 88036-FE041 FCC id NHVWB1U711 on the back of it.

Follow steps to program the remote to the system:

1. Look for the 8 digit number on the circuit board (you will need to open the remote) or the remote and write it down as you will be needing it (check steps 7 and 8).
2. Close all doors including trunk.
3. Open the driver door one more time and close it back. Do these in 45 seconds:

4. Open and close the driver door.
5. Insert the key in the ignition and twist it from LOCK to ON 10 times within 15 seconds. You’ll hear a tone once and buzzer. The interior light flashes until the remotes are programmed in the system
6. Within 15 seconds open the driver door and close. You’ll hear a tone 30 seconds.
7. Before the tone stops press the power door lock button to LOCK the same number of times as the first digit of the circuit board code. Press UNLOCK to indicate you are moving to the next digit. Repeat this step for each digit. After each digit entry press UNLOCK within 5 seconds or the process will time out.
8. After putting all 8 digits, within 5 seconds press UNLOCK and repeat step 6 all over again. After the 8th digit a tone will sound for 30 seconds.
9. Repeat steps 5 to 8 for each remote you’re programming.
10. To exit programming mode just remove the key from the ignition.

    Morning remotesandkeys.com ,I’m an Aussie. {AU} in Hungary {HU} stuck here with an Impreza 05.RS 2.5L wagon.I have lost the only remote the vehicle came with,as a key is ex.Japan here and V expensive I contacted Carter Shoreline parts the Original dealer and am now waiting on a genuine new remote to arrive.Can the Subie security be disengaged to keep me Mobile ?
    I am expecting the remote by the end of the week . Is the key required to stay On after step #5 and the 10 On/Offs, I am only programming one remote so I guess I can bypass # 9. ?.
